Made by the Masters of Bishu in Aichi, Japan. This blanket's soft melton wool is thicker than expected and is an ode to the natural un-adorned beauty of Japanese country style. The wool is un-dyed and made from regenerated wool fibers that are hand selected by color to achieve the “light” or “dark” color of the blanket. The slow weaving on a shuttle loom creates micro-air-trapping layers and is then brushed with thistle to be soft on both sides. The edges are “clam- embroidered” by hand for a finishing touch to celebrate the pure simplicity.
A wool throw made with entirely regenerated wool fabric. Each production run of fabric is custom blended, spun and woven by Masters of Bishu in Japan.
